Public Seminar: NIO Legacy Consultation, QUB

16th May 2018

In response to the Northern Ireland Office’s announcement of a public consultation on ‘Addressing the Legacy of the Past’ in Northern Ireland, members of the ‘Model Bill’ team organised a free public event at which they offered an initial response to the legislation and commentary. During the event, some key concerns and potential ‘sticking points’ were identified.

This event was attended by the NIO legacy team including Chris Flatt, Deputy Director, who, during the question and answer session,  directly addressed some of the concerns from the floor that had been provoked by our presentations.

In the weeks that followed the team set about addressing those challenges and developed a more detailed response.
